The wine is layered with blackberry, black raspberry, caramel and milk chocolate, and sports a great structure and backbone. Focused acid, silky soft tannins, and a touch of spice emerge from the mid-palate. Compelling and complex, this is a fine Bordeaux style Cabernet blend that will age for decades.Vineyard Notes:2011 started out with a cool wet spring, setting us up for a very unusual vintage right from the start. Yields were lower that average and the cool temperatures that continued through the year reminded us more of France than California.
