Most people know Loire Sauvignon Blanc’s because of Sancerre but the grape is grown in much of the region. In Touraine the wines are a bit softer with more fruit and a mineral rather than grassy finish. Ours, from Domaine de la Chaise, is a delicious example and great choice when you want a Sauvignon Blanc that is softer and has more fruit than a Sancerre but is still distinctly French. The price is as attractive as the wine.
